American Idol comes back!

American Idol comes back for its seventh season when it aired on January 15, 2008 for a two daylights, four hour premiere. Senior manager producer Nigel Lythgoe make known small alterations will be made in the show upon its come back in 2008. It was reported that more notice will be remunerated to who the participators are, where they come from, and why fans should be concerned to vote for them. Nothing as thespian as the songwriting rivalry or an age-limit change was planned for the season. Still, the executive producer owns up to the reality that season 6 took the spotlight away from the contestants, their milieu and their talent, and it needs to get back on track.

In Season 6, comparatively little was branded about the contestants, which was marked by the fact that Sanjaya’s hair was the leading “private” story of each week. While there are a duo of big changes planned, “enthusiasts shouldn’t vex” states Lythgoe. Despite cries that every season in the initial audition process the judges were vindictive and mean, there was little to no fine-tuning made to that part of the show. One noteworthy transform is allowing contestants to play their own instruments.

As the “go again” of American Idol drew close a former contender spoke out on the subject of the show’s authority. Season 5 sensation Chris Daughtry was quoted saying “I feel like it’s definitely lacking some credibility at this point. I’m sure that it will be used against me, but that’s the truth.”

“Idol Gives Back” raised more than $75 million last year for neglected children, and returned on air on April 9, 2008.

On March 11, 2008 American Idol débuted a new state-of-the-art set and stage, all along with an innovative on-air look. The two-night season climax will be televised live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on May 20 and 21.
